In defiance of this virus, people are coming together in memorable ways. Take for example the scenes of Italians singing together from their balconies or Spaniards applauding medical workers every night at 20h00.

But my all time favorite so far is the New Yorkers holding virtual dance parties on Zoom. On Instagram @triciawang said, “Dancing virtually was a sublimely different experience than physically dancing in a club.”

For her, dancing virtually with over 100 people gave her insights into the range of ways in which people expressed themselves through music, “Families with young children danced in their children’s playrooms. Households called in during dinner time. Couples danced together…as the night went on I saw more neon wigs, capes, masks and musical instruments. A couple danced their baby to sleep. Countless individuals danced with their pets.”

How will you express yourself over this trying time?
